"Don't worry about it. I've gotta get over it at some point." She smiled again, "Umm... well, charms is alright."

Professor Tuloft stood, straightening out the parchment on her desk. "Please be silent." she said. She scanned over the class. "Are you all who's coming?" she half asked, half said to herself. She smiled at the class. "My name is Professor Tuloft. I'm your new Transfiguration teacher. Would anybody mind telling me the meaning of Transfiguration? It's basic knowledge."
((OOC: Sorry I haven't replied. I was busy with RL. I'm in an upcoming musical...quite hectic, actually! Sorry again!--Prof. T.))

Piper turned her attention to the professor. She tried to pay attention, but her thoughts kept drifting back to other things.

Professor Tuloft nodded and returned her smile. "Yes, Miss Heart. Now, today you will be learning a spell on how to change an animal into a goblet. You will be performing this spell as of tomorrow's lesson." She drew her wand. "Now, would you all take out your wands to try the spell. I will demonstrate the spell for you on this toad." She motioned toward a large toad sitting upon her desk. "But before I demonstrate, you will learn the spell with me. What you do is tap thrice and say Fereverto as you tap the animal. So that's one, two, three, fereverto!" as she said this last word and tapped the toad with the tip of her wand and it quickly transfigured into a large, elegant goblet. The students seemed bewildered. "Now that you've seen a demonstration, please take the remainder of the class to practice saying this spell with your wands at hand, but please, don't tap anything with your wand, or it will turn into a goblet, too." She took a seat at her desk and placed her wand beside her. There were fifteen minutes left of class.

Casey followed the professor's instructions and practiced. She tapped her wand three times in the air and said, "Fereverto," on the last tap taking care not to tap on anything. She didn't know if she had done it right or not because nothing happened. She gathered up her things and dumped them in her bag as she waited for class to end.

Professor Tuloft watched as the students practiced the spells. The owl flew up to her window, notifying her class was over. "Students, class is over. I'll see you tomorrow." With that, she stood up, and ushered the children out of her class. She then shut the door and magically locked it.
((OOC: Thank you to everybody who attended the lesson. Your house will gain five points each.))
